Installation of Joy's art panels
The 45 acre park received historical designation by being part of a larger archaeologically significant site where native people visited, hunting and gathering for over 12,000 years. It was also the headquarters of Monte Galvan, the North cattle ranch for the Mission San Antonio de Valero, later known as the Alamo.
Joy Fisher Hein created thirteen panels of art on outdoor signage, which was installed May 2007.
